Gaza…a children’s bike race to demand an end to “arming Israel”

On Thursday, a sports bike race for children was organized in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, to demand an end to the arming of Israel.

About 100 children under ten years of age participated in the race organized by the “Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees” (non-governmental) in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

The participating children raised banners in Arabic and English, some of which read: “No to arming the Israeli occupation,” “Freedom and security for the children of Palestine,” and “Stop supporting the Israeli occupation.”

Samira Abdel Alim, head of the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees in Rafah, said, “Today we are organizing a marathon in solidarity with the children of Palestine, and to inform the countries of the world about our cause.”

She pointed out that this race is organized in conjunction with similar races in the Belgian capital, Brussels, the British city of Manchester, and the Indian capital, New Delhi, and is supervised by solidarity with the Palestinian people.

“Solidarity activists in the capitals of the world carry slogans such as (No to arming Israel, No to violence against the children of Palestine),” Abdel Alim added.

Because every armament deprives our children of life and to live in safety and security like the rest of the children of the world.”
