Turkish parliament speaker condemns German official’s statements

The Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Mustafa Şentop, on Wednesday condemned the statements of the Vice-President of the German Federal Parliament, Wolfgang Kubiki, against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

This came in a letter sent by the President of the Turkish Parliament to the President of the German Federal Parliament, Barbel Bass.

“I wrote a letter to the President of the German Federal Parliament in which I expressed the extraordinary indignation caused by the offensive statements of President Erdogan and expressed our strong condemnation of these statements,” Şentop said in a tweet on Twitter.

He added, “We are waiting for measures to be taken against this lowly position, which would spoil Turkish-German relations.”
