Turkey.. Ukrainians protest against Russia in Istanbul

Ukrainians residing in Istanbul continue to protest against Russia for its military attacks against their country.

On Monday, some Ukrainians residing in Istanbul gathered in front of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (İSO) building in Beyoglu district to denounce Russia.

The protesters raised banners and flags of their country, chanting the national anthem of Ukraine, and slogans against Russian President Vladimir Putin and against the war.

The protesters also demanded the closure of Russia’s airspace and the imposition of more effective sanctions, and the protest lasted for one hour under security measures.

On February 24, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine, which was followed by angry international reactions and the imposition of severe economic and financial sanctions on Moscow.
