Turkey.. “ASELSAN” Defense Industries develops a photoelectric sensor

The Turkish company “ASELSAN” has developed a photoelectric sensor system for reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting.

It is intended for unmanned aerial vehicles, which contributes to strengthening the leadership of the national defense industries.

According to information on Wednesday from informed sources, the photoelectric sensing system (CATS) was developed for targeting, reconnaissance and surveillance purposes.

He explained that the system will meet the needs of Turkish air platforms of all kinds, and will replace foreign systems that are subject to restrictions when purchasing from abroad.

He pointed out that the aforementioned system is the fruit of cooperation between the defense industries “Aselsan” and “Baykar”, the manufacturer of the Turkish “Bayraktar” drones.

He pointed out that the homemade photoelectric sensing system proved its effectiveness during experiments and was exported to 5 countries (not disclosed).
