The Turkish Defense Industries Corporation announced on Saturday the success of the test of a space research missile developed by the Turkish company Roketsan with local and national expertise.
The foundation said in a statement on the “X” platform that the test was conducted in the “Inh Ada” region of Qaraqlarili, in the far northwest of the country.
It added that the missile was developed using advanced engineering techniques as part of Turkey’s efforts to reach space.
It confirmed that all the important subsystems of the missile were developed locally and nationally by Roketsan.
In turn, the head of the foundation, Haluk Gungur, said in a statement on the same platform that Turkey had crossed an important barrier in missile technology.
He added that Turkey’s space research will gain great momentum thanks to the level of missile technologies that the country has reached.
