Foreign Minister Arancha Gonzalez Laya made some evaluations before the European Union foreign ministers’ meeting in Brussels.

“After several months of a tremendously turbulent period in relations between the European Union and Turkey, it may be time to set a positive agenda with Turkey.

There should be a positive relationship between the EU and Turkey,” Laya said.

“We hope that there will be a meeting between the European Union and Turkey.”

She said that to give a positive impetus to relations between the European Union and Turkey, “we hope that this meeting will come,” but we also need to see stable and clear support from Turkey. We fully understand the matter.
