He added that during the 10 years of the program, 15,000 small and medium-sized enterprises managed by women were funded, noting that the value of funding this year has reached 900 million euros to date.
He pointed out that more than 60 percent of the funding is allocated to women entrepreneurs outside major Turkish cities such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.
Turkner emphasized the continuation of the Bank’s programs in Turkey, which focus on the green economy aimed at reducing environmental risks and achieving sustainable development.
He added that Turkey’s new financing commitments currently amount to 1.1 billion euros and that by the end of this year, the bank’s total investments may reach 1.5 billion euros.
He stressed that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will continue to support projects in Turkey in the same way, especially in the field of renewable energy.
