Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that the Turkish state will not receive any money from citizens in exchange for a Coronavirus vaccine.

“The free vaccination plan will only apply to vaccines purchased from China, and citizens will have to pay for it if they want to use other licensed vaccines,” Koca said.

“People in the at-risk group should not be worried,” the minister added. The Turkish government will make every effort to get the vaccine to them.

The Turkish Minister of Health also added: “10 million doses of the Chinese Coronavirus vaccine have been available for a long time to reach Turkey.” This number is expected to reach 50 million doses.

Koca also said that doctors and people on the front lines in fighting the Coronavirus have priority in getting the vaccine.
