Ukraine wants establish a comprehensive free trade agreement with Turkey

Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Ukrainian Economy, stated that Turkey and Ukraine remain reliable trading partners despite the epidemiological conditions of the Coronavirus ( Covid-19 )

“We want to conclude a comprehensive free trade agreement with Turkey,” said Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Economy Ministry said that the Ukrainian-Turkish summit, which raised the slogan “Ukraine – Turkey: New Opportunities for Cooperation”, had already been held.

“Turkey and Ukraine remain reliable trading partners, despite the circumstances of the Coronavirus ( Covid-19 ) epidemic,” said Kachka, Deputy Minister of the Ukrainian Economy, in a speech during this summit.

Kachka added, “Turkey is one of the countries that Ukraine has the most trade with last year, but we have not yet reached the real capacity for trade between the two countries.” And that Ukraine wants to conclude a comprehensive free trade agreement between the two countries.

In this meeting, several sectors such as agriculture, energy, programming, transport and tourism were also examined and confirmed.

The volume of trade between the two countries increased in the first half of this year 2020, compared to the same period last year by 7%, and reached the level of 2 points from 27 billion dollars.
