Turkish Anadolu Efes team wins the European Basketball League


Anadolu Efes defeated Barcelona 86-81 in the THY Europa League final and became the champion.

Barcelona finished the first quarter of the match, which started with alternating baskets, with a 22-15 lead.


Anadolu Efes dominated the match in the second quarter and dominated his opponent, advancing 39-36 before going to the dressing room.

Anadolu Efes won the match 86-81 and achieved great success by achieving its first championship in the European Basketball Association’s number one club at the club level.

Anadolu Efes won their second championship after 25 years without European Cups.

The navy white team won the first European Cup in Turkish basketball history since 1996.

Under head coach Aydın Örs, the team achieved great success by winning the European Radivoj Korac Cup in 1996.

Anadolu Efes became the second Turkish team to win the European League after Fenerbahce in 2017.


Barcelona ranks second

After losing to Anadolu Efes in the final of the European Basketball League, Barcelona got the silver medal.

The Spanish team ranked second for the sixth time in the organization number one in Europe at club level.

Barcelona also won the championship in the 2002-03 and 2009-2010 seasons.
