The “fish quota” meeting between Britain and the EU: no results

Negotiations on the sharing of fish quotas between the United Kingdom and the European Union yielded no results.

After the United Kingdom left the European Union, disagreements persisted over how to share fish quotas in border waters.

Since the maritime borders will also be determined, the two sides do not want to make any concessions in this regard.

While it is not possible to get a result at their meeting in Brooks, temporary quotas will apply again.

The fisheries ministers of the member states agreed on the amount of fish to be caught next year in the North, Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Black Seas.
