Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev sent a message of condolence to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the victims of a mine explosion in Barten province.
In the letter, Aliyev expressed his deep shock at the news of many deaths and injuries in the mine explosion.
The Azerbaijani President stated that they share Turkey’s pain.
On behalf of his people, he offered his condolences to President Erdogan, the families and families of the victims and the Turkish people for the victims of the explosion.

On Saturday, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that the death toll from the mine explosion in the northern state of Barten had risen to 28.
Energy Minister Fatih Donmez had announced that preliminary investigations showed that the explosion that occurred Friday was caused by a gas leak.
In a related context, the Turkish Presidency Communication Department announced in a statement that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan postponed his visit to the state of Diyarbakir scheduled for Saturday and decided to go to Barten to supervise the conduct of rescue operations in the mine located in the “Amasra” area.
