Turkish football.. Trabzonspor wins against Besiktas


Trabzonspor finished the top of the 12th round of the Turkish Super League with a thrilling victory over its host Besiktas with two goals to one on Saturday at the “Vodafone Arena” in Istanbul.

At the beginning of the match, offensive pressure was applied by Besiktas, hoping to advance early, and create many opportunities in front of the Trabzon team’s goal, which preferred to retreat and surprise with quick attacks that were not without danger.


At a time when the owners of the land were the closest to scoring, the guests succeeded in advancing first with a goal.

Midfielder Abdelkader Omar scored it in extra time for the first half, investing a pass from Slovakian Marek Hamsik.

Besiktas searched for a tie at the beginning of the second half and attacked fiercely until he was able to actually achieve this through his Canadian striker Cyle Larin in the 62nd minute.

While the match was breathing its last, Trabzonspor managed to seize a deadly goal scored by Andreas Cornelis in the sixth minute of stoppage time.


With this, Trabzonspor raised its score to 30 points, strengthening its presence at the top of the standings.

While the defending champion suffered its fourth loss this season, its score settled at 20 points in third place.
