The Turkish Red Crescent distributes school supplies to Afghan students


The Turkish Red Crescent distributed school supplies to students of Mashal Bayat High School in the Afghan capital, Kabul, on Wednesday.


The supplies distributed included school bags, pens and notebooks.

In a speech during the distribution, the head of the Turkish Red Crescent mission in Afghanistan, Farid Ahmed Zia, said that school supplies had been distributed to about 400 students.

He added that the Red Crescent continues to provide assistance to the Afghans in education, health and other areas.

For his part, the director of the secondary school, Abdullah Dreamer, thanked the Red Crescent, indicating that Turkey continues to support the Afghan people.


He stressed that the brotherly ties between the Turkish and Afghan peoples are constantly increasing, and that this aid is strengthening them.
