Talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations begin in Istanbul

On Tuesday morning, the Russian and Ukrainian delegations began their talks at the Presidential Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul, immediately after a speech by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The Ukrainian delegation first arrived this morning at Dolmabahce Palace, then was followed by the Russian delegation to start the new round of negotiations to end the Ukrainian crisis.

It was learned from diplomatic sources that talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations will continue today, Tuesday, and tomorrow, Wednesday.

In his speech, Erdogan expressed his belief that no party will lose in the just peace equation for the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, and that prolonging the war “is not in anyone’s interest.”

He said, “We dealt fairly in all international forums with the two parties (Russian and Ukrainian) by guaranteeing their rights and taking into account their sensitivities.”
