Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu called on Greece to abandon its provocations in the Aegean and the eastern Mediterranean.
This came in a press conference held on Sunday at the end of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
Çavuşoğlu indicated that there is an understanding between Ankara and Athens regarding not carrying out any maneuvers in the Aegean Sea during the summer tourist season.
He added: “Now Greece announces the NAVTEX notification (for seafarers) in the Aegean.
It also announces this notification on Turkey’s national occasions, thus violating the understanding between the two countries, so Athens should abandon such provocations.”
