An economic message from the new Governor of the Central Bank

In a written statement, the new Central Bank Governor Şahap Kavcıoğlu made a written statement:

“The Central Bank will continue to use monetary policy tools effectively in line with its basic objective of achieving a permanent reduction in inflation within the framework of the duties and powers specified by the law.”

Kavcıoğlu will adopt monetary policy in line with the goal of achieving a permanent reduction in inflation.

He stressed that the tools will be used effectively, explaining that the decline in inflation will contribute to the formation of the necessary conditions for sustainable growth.

Kavcıoğlu also mentioned that the MPC meetings will be held according to the schedule.
