Turkish “TIKA” rehabilitates a facility in the Lebanese Beqaa

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has rehabilitated a dairy production facility and a laboratory in the Beqaa Governorate (central) as part of its development projects in Lebanon.

A statement issued by the agency’s office in Beirut on Thursday said that “TIKA” continues projects to support research and development activities in the field of dairy products.

He explained that the agency rehabilitated the dairy products production facility and laboratory within the Advanced Agricultural Research Center (AREC) of the American University of Beirut.

The agency also provided a course for 105 people, mostly women, on food safety, hygiene, production, packaging, and marketing of dairy products.

TIKA, which was established in 1992, is the main sponsor and coordinator of many charitable projects implemented by Turkey in different regions of the world.

Since 2002, TIKA has increased its activities and reach with its development aid campaigns outside the country.

This is with the high level of progress in Turkey and the openness that the government has achieved in its foreign policy.
