Turkey’s Antalya exports Christmas wreaths to Europe

The Turkish state of Antalya exports Christmas wreaths to various parts of the world, especially European countries.

With the approach of Christmas, which is celebrated by Christians and New Year’s Day, the demand for importing these wreaths increases.

Wreaths are made in Antalya (south) from forest residues such as cypress branches, pine cones, and others.

In an interview, the head of the Ornamental Plants and Products Exporters Union, Ismail Yilmaz, said that this year they exported about 500,000 wreaths.

He explained that the price of the wreath ranges between 1 and 3 dollars, depending on the materials used.

He expected that the revenue from exports of garlands this year will reach about two million dollars.
