The first localmade Turkish flying car was developed by the Turkish company Biker Makina, which bears the name Cezeri Flying Car, and this flying car has successfully completed the initial flight tests.
According to a statement by Biker, the Cezeri Flying Car flight tests, which were conducted under the supervision of Selçuk Bayraktar’s technical director, began Friday, 11 September.
In the first tests, Cezeri took off, with the use of safety ropes, and after a successful flight with safety ropes, the car took off without the ropes between September 14th and September 15th.
The Cezeri Flying Car successfully completed two different flights on the same night, by using an intelligent flying system that enabled it to fly completely independently.
On the second test flight conducted at Biker National SİHA R&D and Production Center without safety ropes, the Cezeri flying car rose 10 meters off the ground.
The Cezeri, designed and built by Turkish engineers, took off 10 meters in flight tests on the prototype weighing 230 kilograms.
A dream come true
The technical director of Biker, Selçuk Bayraktar, whose opinions were presented in the statement, stated that the Cezeri flying car, which they started with a dream and a drawing about a year and a half ago, and it was transformed into a reality by making its first flight.
Bayraktar said, “We will make more advanced prototypes in the coming period. We will undertake manned flights. However, it will take an estimated 10-15 years for the Cezeri flying car to land on the roads.”
We might see recreational use in rural areas as ATVs in 3-4 years.
After cars, the revolution in automotive technology will be flying cars. From this point of view, we are preparing for tomorrow’s races, not today.
“One of our most important goals is to give our youth self-confidence and motivation in every field by mobilizing the national technology movement.”
The car has four quadcopter-like blades placed above the passenger compartment and a seat surrounded by glass. There are no indications of controls inside the cab.
The first Turkish flying car appeared at TEKNOFEST for the first time in 2019
The flying car (in Turkish Cezeri Uçan Araba) was presented to the public for the first time at the TEKNOFEST Aviation and Space Technology Exhibition held at Ataturk Airport from 17 to 22 September 2019.
And the Turkish flying car was at that time, one of the most prominent elements of TEKNOFEST 2019, which broke the world record with 1 million and 720 thousand visitors, from many different countries of the world.
A radical change in the transportation system
The Cezeri flying car, which is expected to fundamentally change urban air transport in the future, as it is designed to play an active role in the transportation of passengers and cargo.
Where the car mainly stands out as the “urban air transport” vehicle which would be an ideal alternative to cars in urban transportation.
In the context of urban air transport, in addition, studies are being conducted for their use in logistical support in the health sector and military fields.
Fewer traffic accidents in the future
By introducing the Cezeri flying car, developed by Biker as a transportation concept for the future, it will be possible to reduce traffic congestion in urban transport, reduce the time people spend in traffic, as well as reduce air pollution caused by transportation.
Where the Turkish flying car will play an active role in urban air transport in the future, it aims to reduce traffic accidents, provide faster freight transport service, and respond quickly to the urgent needs of health institutions.

The flying car will fly with minimal aviation knowledge and high security
The Cezeri flying car is designed to be driven with minimal technical know-how, aviation and a high level of safety. It flies using 100 percent electricity, and operates with rechargeable batteries with 8 motors and electric fans.
With three redundant intelligent flying systems, Cezeri will be equipped with AI systems of the future. Cezeri Flying Car aims to reach a flight speed of 100 km / h in the future, to reach a flight altitude of 2000 meters and reach a range of 70-80 km by staying in the air for one hour in parallel with the development of battery technology.
