Turkey: 5 PKK/YPG terrorists neutralized in northern Syria

On Tuesday, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the neutralization of 5 PKK/YPG terrorists in northern Syria.

The ministry said in a statement that the armed forces responded firmly to PKK/YPG terrorists who fired from northern Syria towards a border outpost in Mardin province, southern Turkey, and neutralized 4 of them.

She referred to the elite “commando” forces who succeeded in neutralizing a terrorist from the “PKK/YPG” who was preparing to launch an attack on the “Peace Spring” area in northern Syria.

The “Peace Spring” is located east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria, the area where the Turkish army launched an operation on October 9, 2019.

This is to cleanse it of YPG/PKK and ISIS terrorists, and to establish a safe area for the return of refugees.
