The German company, “Biontech”, announced on Friday that it will study modifying its current vaccine, after the appearance of the expected laboratory results of the new mutation of the Coronavirus.

And the company stated in a statement that the results of samples of the new virus from Corona (B529.1.1), which was recently detected in Botswana and South Africa, will be ready within two weeks.
The statement explained that the new virus differs from previous variants because it contains additional mutations.
He added, “We expect more data after doing lab tests within two weeks at the latest.”
He pointed out that the data that will be extracted from the ongoing laboratory tests will clarify whether vaccine modification is necessary.
