The exploring of “the third largest diamond in the world”

It was announced that the world’s third-largest mined diamond was found in Botswana, a country in South Africa.

The Botswana Diamond Corporation, Debswana, declared the 1,098-carat diamond found on June 1 to be the “third-largest gemstone in the world” of its kind.

It was confirmed in the statement that the mined diamonds were brought to Gaborone, the country’s capital, and presented to Botswana’s President Mokgoetsi Eric Kibitswe Masisi.

The largest diamond is 3106 carats

Lynette Armstrong, managing director of Debswana, emphasized that the mined diamond means a lot to Botswana, “It gives hope to our struggling nation.”

The 3,106-carat Cullinan diamond, the world’s largest, was found in South Africa in 1905.
