Minister of Foreign Affairs EU & Cooperation of Spain Arancha Gonzalez Laya said that the European Union should have positive relations with Turkey.
Foreign Minister Arancha Gonzalez Laya made some evaluations before the European Union foreign ministers’ meeting in Brussels.
“After several months of a tremendously turbulent period in relations between the European Union and Turkey, it may be time to set a positive agenda with Turkey.
There should be a positive relationship between the EU and Turkey,” Laya said.

“We hope that there will be a meeting between the European Union and Turkey.”
She said that to give a positive impetus to relations between the European Union and Turkey, “we hope that this meeting will come,” but we also need to see stable and clear support from Turkey. We fully understand the matter.
The foreign ministers of 27 member states of the European Union met today before the Leaders’ Summit to be held from 25 to 26 March to discuss relations with Turkey and Russia, where they will discuss many issues, such as Myanmar and the Western Balkan countries.
