“We welcome the adoption by the UN Human Rights Council of a resolution submitted by Pakistan calling for ensuring respect for international humanitarian law and international human rights law,” Qureshi said.

Qureshi noted that “the UN resolution includes the establishment of a commission to investigate human rights violations in occupied Palestine, including East Jerusalem.”

On Thursday, the United Nations Human Rights Council approved the establishment of a commission to investigate Israeli human rights violations in the occupied Palestinian territories until April 13, 2021.

The Palestinian Authority and the “Hamas” movement welcomed the decision, while Israel rejected it and stressed that it would not cooperate with it, while Washington expressed its regret about it.
