Jordan announces its solidarity with Turkey and other countries after floods

On Thursday, Jordan expressed its solidarity with Turkey and other countries after floods swept parts of it, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The statement said: “The Kingdom expresses its solidarity with Turkey, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg due to the devastating floods that swept parts of them, leaving several victims, and displacing others from their homes.”

The statement also expressed the Kingdom’s “condolences to the families of the victims, and wishes for the recovery of the injured.”

On Wednesday, 6 people were killed by torrential rains and landslides in the northern Turkish province of Rize.

The heavy rains that fell on Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg also caused the death of dozens and the loss of others, while hundreds of homes were evacuated from their residents in several regions of those countries.
