Chinese Ambassador to Turkey Liu Shaobin noted that there is great potential for economic cooperation between Ankara and Beijing.
This came in a speech he delivered on Wednesday during his participation in an online forum for businessmen from Turkey and China organized by the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Foundation.
Shaubin explained that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries is constantly growing, adding, “China is building a new development model and Turkey is moving towards a new development vision.”
He pointed out that the ties between Turkey and China have continued since the establishment of diplomatic relations between them 51 years ago.
He continued, “The good development momentum between Ankara and Beijing continues, especially in recent years, and based on the interest of the leaders of the two countries, the two sides have strengthened their cooperation in all fields, and this cooperation brings important benefits to both parties.”
He noted that China and Turkey could further coordinate their development strategies, enhance mutual trust, deepen cooperation and contribute to global peace and development.
For his part, the head of the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Foundation, Nail Ulubak, said that the importance of supply chains has clearly emerged with the spread of the Corona epidemic around the world.
Ulubak stressed the need to achieve parity in trade exchanges between Turkey and China.
