This came in a speech delivered by Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu in the framework of the 13th Turkish Ambassadors’ Conference, in the presence of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jehon Permov and OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid.

“I once again warn Armenia to avoid provocations, as Turkey and Azerbaijan are sincere in establishing stability and peace in the region, and this normalization will be in Armenia’s interest as well,” Cavusoglu said.

He added, “Normalization will not happen with rhetoric. We must take serious steps and implement the agreements.”

He pointed out that Turkey and Azerbaijan are consulting about the course of relations with Armenia.

The work of the 13th edition of the Ambassadors Conference will continue from 6 to 12 August in the capital, Ankara, as well as the states of Kayseri and Nevşehir.

It should be noted that Turkey announced in mid-December the appointment of its former ambassador to Washington, Serdar Kılıç, as its special representative for talks to normalize relations with Armenia.
