The Director General of Gaza Hospitals, Muhammad Zaqout, said on Monday that “the Israeli occupation is carrying out a direct execution of the wounded and sick in hospitals” in the Gaza Strip.
This came in press statements carried by the platforms of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip.
Zaqout explained that “the occupation has exhausted hospitals in the north and south of the Gaza Strip,” noting that “the occupation is carrying out direct executions of the wounded and sick in hospitals.”
He added: “There are 260 wounded in Al-Shifa Medical Complex (west of Gaza City), one of whom dies every day,” explaining that the Indonesian hospital, in turn, includes “thousands of displaced people and about 200 medical staff.”
Earlier Monday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that “12 people were martyred and dozens injured” as a result of an Israeli bombing targeting the Indonesian hospital, while it was surrounded by dozens of military vehicles and artillery, according to identical testimonies.
The Palestinian Ministry warned in a statement that “the Israeli occupation forces are placing thousands of wounded, medical personnel, and displaced persons in the cycle of death as a result of the direct and repeated targeting of the Indonesian Hospital.”
For his part, spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf Al-Qudra, said in press statements that “the Israeli occupation is seeking to put the Indonesian hospital completely out of service,” while “the medical staff in the hospital insist on staying to treat the wounded.”

He added, “There are about 700 people, including medical teams and wounded, inside the Indonesian hospital,” according to what was reported on the Telegram page of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.
Al-Qudra described the situation in the Indonesian hospital as “catastrophic,” explaining that “the occupation is intensifying its attacks on the hospital and besieging it.”
He continued: “We fear that (the Israeli army) will repeat what it did to the Al-Shifa Complex,” referring to the Israeli practices aimed at evacuating the Indonesian Hospital and other hospitals in the northern and central Gaza Strip of patients, injured and displaced people.
Yesterday, a medical source at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, who requested to remain anonymous for security reasons, said, “The World Health Organization will evacuate on Monday all 250 people remaining in Al-Shifa Hospital: 25 medical staff and 225 displaced persons and patients who were unable to evacuate due to their inability to walk.” “.
At dawn last Wednesday, the Israeli army stormed the Al-Shifa complex after besieging it for days, as it contained civilians displaced from their homes as a result of the continuous Israeli bombing in the area, and forced everyone inside to evacuate during the past days.
For 45 days, the Israeli army has been waging a devastating war on Gaza, leaving more than 13,000 Palestinians dead, including more than 5,500 children and 3,500 women, in addition to more than 30,000 injured, 75 percent of whom are children and women, according to the government media office in Gaza.
