On Saturday, Israeli settlers attacked the residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem and those in solidarity with them, by spraying pepper gas on them.

Mona Al-Kurd, one of the families threatened with displacement in favor of the settlers in “Sheikh Jarrah”, said through her account on Instagram that a number of settlers attacked the residents of the neighborhood and those in solidarity with them by spraying pepper gas on them.

Simultaneously, the occupation forces forcibly emptied the neighborhood of solidarity activists, prevented its residents from gathering in its squares, and prevented ambulance crews and journalists from being present.

Twenty-eight Palestinian families are at risk of eviction from the homes they have resided in since 1956.

Israeli settlement groups claim that the homes were built on land that was owned by Jews before 1948, which the residents deny.

The plans of the occupation caused the explosion of confrontations during the past weeks between the Palestinians and the Israeli police.
