White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki spoke about Russia’s buildup of troops on the Ukrainian border and her statements on the issue.

In response to a question about whether sanctions will be imposed on Russia after the statement of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
“We will make Russia pay a heavy price if it follows the course of the conflict in Ukraine,” Psaki said. Psaki said they have discussed the issue with both Russia and their counterparts in Ukraine.

Noting that there was no meeting between US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the situation in the region, Psaki said, “We have clearly conveyed our concerns to Russia about its aggressive rhetoric.”
