This came, according to what was reported by American media, including Al-Hurra TV, on the White House spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, today.

Psaki said the bipartisan bill on sanctions against Russia “would send a strong message to (Russian President Vladimir Putin).”

It added that the ongoing military exercises between Russia and Belarus were an “escalatory measure”.

Amid escalating tension with the West, Russia is holding military exercises with Belarus from February 10 to 20.
