The European Parliament intends to form a commission into “Pegasus”

The International Independent Press Network (IPI) announced on Wednesday that the European Parliament intends to approve the formation of a commission to investigate the use of the Israeli spyware Pegasus in the European Union.

The network said in a tweet on Twitter that it welcomed the European Parliament’s move to approve the formation of the commission to investigate violations of the program in the European Union, including its violations against journalists.

“The investigations so far by the Hungarian authorities have been insufficient, and it is critical that this investigation leads to greater transparency,” it added.
