Washington: An Armenian attacked a Turkish restaurant in California

The US Department of Justice announced on Friday that Armenian-American William Stepanian pleaded guilty to attacking a Turkish restaurant in California late last year.

The ministry said in a statement that Stepanyan, 23, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and hate crimes after attacking the Istanbul Café restaurant in Los Angeles on November 4, 2020.

The ministry said in the statement that Stepanyan will be sentenced to 15 years in prison.
