Two planes carrying cancer patients arrive from Gaza to Turkey

Two planes carrying a number of Palestinian cancer patients and their companions arrived in Turkey on Wednesday after they were taken out of the Gaza Strip to Egypt.

The two planes arrived at Esenboga Airport in the Turkish capital, Ankara, coming from Al-Arish Airport in Egypt.

Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca also returned to Ankara from Egypt, accompanied by some patients, after a series of intensive meetings he held on Wednesday to provide health aid to Gaza and transport the sick and wounded to Turkey.

The patients were transported from Gaza, which is under intense Israeli attacks, to the Egyptian Al-Arish Airport by ambulances, then they were placed on planes belonging to the Turkish Presidency and the Ministry of Defense to be transported to Ankara.

Turkish medical teams supervised the reception of patients upon their arrival at Esenboga Airport.

The patients were transferred from planes to ambulances and will undergo treatment in Bilkent Medical City in Ankara.

The patients’ health condition was monitored by 9 expert medical personnel from Turkey throughout the journey from Egypt to Ankara.
