Turkish Red Crescent team reaches the southwestern border of Ukraine

On Monday, a Turkish Red Crescent team carrying humanitarian aid reached the southwestern border of Ukraine.

The Turkish Red Crescent said in a statement that the team is providing humanitarian aid to the Ukrainians coming to the Siret crossing with Romania in coordination with the International Red Cross.

The Red Crescent team transported to the Ukrainians 5 trucks loaded with essential living supplies.

The statement devoted space to the statements of the head of the team, Abdullah Kaya, who said that the Turkish Red Crescent will continue to provide aid to the Ukrainians.

He added that Red Crescent trucks will enter the Ukrainian city of Tchernivtsi to provide humanitarian aid.

On Thursday, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine, which was followed by angry reactions from several countries in the world and the imposition of “tough” economic sanctions on Moscow.
