Turkish Presidency: Israel is the only responsible for war in Palestine


The head of the Turkish Presidency’s Communication Department, Fahrettin Altun, said that Israel is the only one responsible for the war crimes taking place in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza, and that they should be stopped immediately.

This came in a tweet he published on Thursday, in which he devoted space to the speech of his country’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

And in the United Nations General Assembly, which met today to discuss the situation in Palestine.

Altun emphasized that Turkey’s position rejecting the occupation’s policies and Israel’s terrorist practices is clear.

He added, “Israel, who is solely responsible for the war crimes taking place in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza, should be stopped immediately.”

He stressed the need to establish an international protection mechanism for the Palestinians through military and financial contributions.

On Thursday, the Israeli aggression on Gaza entered its 11th day, and the number of its victims reached 232 martyrs, including 65 children, 39 women and 17 elderly, in addition to about 1900 wounded, according to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip.

While 28 Palestinians were killed, including 4 children, and nearly 7 thousand were wounded in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem.

During confrontations with the Israeli army, live and metal bullets and tear gas canisters are used to disperse protesters.

In addition, two Palestinians were killed, one of them in the city of Umm al-Fahm and the other in the city of Lod, and others were wounded during demonstrations in Arab towns inside Israel (the Green Line).
