On Saturday, the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Mustafa Şentop, congratulated the State of Qatar on its National Day, and this came in a congratulatory telegram sent to the Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim.

Şentop said in his telegram: “I congratulate the friendly and brotherly State of Qatar on its National Day.”
He added, “I am fully confident that our relations, which have developed on the basis of the deep-rooted historical and cultural bonds between our two brotherly and friendly countries, will grow even richer in the direction of common values and interests, thanks to the close cooperation between the parliaments of our two countries.”
Şentop expressed his best wishes to the Qatari people, the Speaker of the Shura Council, and members of the Council.
