Turkish Parliament Speaker Congratulates Morocco on Throne Day

On Friday, Turkish Parliament Speaker Mustafa Şentop congratulated his Moroccan counterpart, Habib al-Maliki, and Speaker of the House of Councilors, Abdelhakim Benchmash, on the occasion of the throne.

The Presidency of Parliament stated in a statement that Shantoub sent a congratulatory cable to both Al-Maliki and Benchmash on the occasion of the Throne Day, the twenty-second anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s accession to the rule of the country.

Şentop stressed that his country attaches great importance to developing relations with Morocco in all fields.

He stressed the importance of exchanging visits between the parliaments of the two countries, and their role in developing relations.

King Mohammed VI ascended the throne of the Kingdom of Morocco in July 1999 following the death of his late father, Hassan II.
