Turkish food aid for 1,350 poor and displaced Yemeni families

A Yemeni relief association revealed on Tuesday that two Turkish organizations have provided food aid to more than 11,000 Yemenis representing 1,350 poor and displaced Yemeni families in a number of the country’s governorates.

The Yemeni Association for Humanitarian Access (non-governmental) also stated in a statement on Tuesday that it had distributed food baskets.

It includes “flour, rice, sugar, oil and dates, in the governorates of Abyan, Aden, and Amanat Al-Asimah, on 4,500 individuals representing 750 poor families.

She indicated that this aid is provided by the Turkish “Deniz Feneri” Association.

In the same context, the Yemeni Association stated that it had distributed Ramadan aid funded by the Turkish “Sadaqa Tashi” organization, benefiting 6,600 Yemenis in three governorates.

She indicated that the aid included distributing Ramadan food baskets made of rice, sugar, flour, oil, dates and vegetables to 600 poor and displaced families.

In addition to providing breakfast for 300 people in the governorates of Ma’rib, Sana’a and Al-Amanah.

She drew about the aid provided by the two Turkish associations that were distributed during the last ten days of Ramadan.

Which contributed to alleviating the suffering of the beneficiary families, and supporting them in overcoming the difficulties they face in providing the basic requirements for their living.

Turkey provides relief and development projects and programs through relief organizations and agencies in various Yemeni governorates.

Which is experiencing difficult humanitarian conditions as a result of the ongoing war in the country for the past seven years.
