On Tuesday, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the neutralization of 6 PKK/YPG terrorists in northern Syria.
The ministry said in a statement that the terrorists opened fire on the “Peace Spring” and “Euphrates Shield” operations areas before they were neutralized.
The ministry stressed that the Turkish armed forces continue to combat terrorism with determination and effectiveness.
The Turkish forces, in cooperation with the Syrian National Army, carried out several operations in northern Syria against ISIS and YPG.
Through these operations, it cleared thousands of kilometers of land from terrorists and provided the opportunity for thousands of Syrians to return safely to their lands.
The YPG represents the Syrian arm of the PKK terrorist organization, which is active in other countries in the region, including Iraq and Iran.
