The value of Turkish exports in the household furniture, paper and forest products (timber) sector amounted to $731 million last month, the highest ever in May.
According to the data, the sector recorded an increase of 19.1 percent in May compared to the same month last year.
Iraq was the first destination for Turkey’s exports in the furniture and forest products sector during May, amounting to 107 million dollars, followed by Britain with 36 million dollars, then Israel with 35 million dollars.
