Turkey’s exports achieved a 25.4% increase in February

Turkish Trade Minister Mehmet Muş said on Wednesday that the country’s exports rose in February by 25.4%, reaching a volume of $20 billion.

Muş stated in a press conference that the number of exporting companies increased by more than 5,000 companies compared to the same period last year, noting that Turkey showed a strong performance in the field of export.

He stressed that effective performance will continue during the current year with the aim of reaching the target figures for the current year, estimated at $250 billion.

The minister pointed out that the volume of foreign trade increased by 36.4 percent compared to February last year, and amounted to 48.1 billion dollars.

He pointed out that the value of Turkish imports reached $28.1 billion as a result of winter conditions and an increase in energy prices.
