Turkey’s dried fruit exports exceed $1 billion in 9 months

Turkey’s exports of dried fruits recorded more than one billion dollars in the first 9 months of this year, with a growth of 11 percent.

The Turkish Aegean Exporters Association said in a statement on Sunday that the value of exports amounted to one billion and 30 million dollars through the export of 332,000 tons of dried fruits.

It added that the value of exports grew by 11 percent between January and September, compared to the same period last year.

The statement cited the head of the Aegean Exporters Association, Birol Galeb, as saying that Turkey is a pioneer in the production and export of raisins, apricots, and dried figs.
