Tourism revenues in Turkey recorded an increase of 122.4 percent during the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same period last year.

This came according to the data of the Turkish Statistics Authority for the period between January and March last.
Tourism revenues during the mentioned period amounted to 5 billion and 545 million and 488 thousand dollars.
The share of foreign tourists from the revenues amounted to 76.5 percent, and the Turkish expatriates returning to their country for tourism reached 23.5 percent.

The value of personal spending for tourists reached 4 billion and 852 million and 137 thousand dollars, while the value of wages for tourism tours reached 602 million and 350 thousand dollars.
