The General Directorate of Forests in Turkey continues its preparations for fighting fires, coinciding with the onset of the summer season.
In this context, Turkey received 4 American Chinook helicopters, and 6 helicopters of the same type are scheduled to arrive in the next few days.
The aforementioned helicopters participated last year in firefighting efforts in Turkey, and their performance won the admiration of Turkish officials.
These helicopters have two engines and a water carrying capacity of 10 tons, as well as their ability to maneuver extensively.
