Last year, Turkey maintained its first position among the European Union countries in the size of livestock.
According to information from the European Statistical Office, the Turkish Statistical Institute, and Statista data on Saturday, the volume of Turkey’s livestock of cows and buffaloes during the past year amounted to 17 million and 24 thousand.
The data also showed that the number of sheep and goats in Turkey reached 56,266,000 last year.

The data indicated that, since 2020, Turkey has maintained the first place among the Union countries in terms of the number of cows and buffaloes.
