Turkey’s revenue from furniture exports reached $3.07 billion during the first 9 months of this year, breaking a new record in the country’s history.
According to data from the Istanbul Furniture and Paper Exporters Union, furniture exports have grown by 20 percent.
This is during the period between January and September 2021, compared to the same period last year.
The United States of America topped the list of countries importing Turkish furniture, followed by Israel, then France, and Britain.
And last September alone, Turkey exported furniture worth $385.6 million.
Speaking, Ahmet Gülac, head of the Istanbul Furniture and Paper Exporters Association, said that the sector continues to grow despite the challenges of the Corona epidemic and the high prices of raw materials.
