Turkey freezes assets of 29 individuals accused of financing terrorism

On Thursday, the Turkish Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced freezing the assets of 29 individuals and one institution on charges of financing the terrorist organizations ISIS and Al-Qaeda.

The Official Gazette published the Ministry’s decision to freeze the assets of 29 individuals and one institution accused of financing the two terrorist organizations, to be implemented.

The list of individuals with assets frozen includes 27 individuals and one organization linked to ISIS, and two individuals linked to al-Qaeda.

The ministry’s decision came based on the existence of reasonable grounds for freezing the assets of the individuals and institution referred to.
