Turkey achieved a jump in sales of electric cars during the first two months of this year, more than the total sales for the first six months of last year.
According to data from the Association of Automobile Dealers (ODMD), sales of cars and light commercial vehicles increased by 50.4 percent in the first two months of this year compared to the same period in 2022.
In the aforementioned period, car sales increased by 44.3 percent to 96,195 cars, and light commercial vehicle sales increased by 69.7 percent, to 35,847 cars.

The number of electric cars sold during the first two months of this year exceeded the total sales of electric cars during the first six months of last year, which amounted to 2,263.
